Candlelight Acoustic Concert at Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

| November 10, 2014
Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Krabi, Thailand is bringing a series of exclusive musical experiences to guests with their new Candlelight Acoustic Concerts.  Beginning on December 13 with an intimate performance by Jose González, renowned Swedish Indie folk singer-songwriter and guitarist the concerts will take place quarterly at the Sala Srichan Arrival Pavilion. González will be the first of several global performers to maintain residency at Phulay Bay for a week, appearing for a select number of shows. González and future performers will tie together international sounds with the natural splendor of Southern Thailand by showcasing acoustic versions of their most popular songs surrounded by soothing water, romantic ambience and flickering light.

The new Candlelight Acoustic Concert series will highlight the beauty of Phulay Bay and Krabi through sound and music for guests staying on property. Filled with hundreds of gleaming candles, the Sala Srichan Arrival Pavilion serves as the perfect venue for the concert series.  As the burning flame of a candle is an age old tradition in Thai culture, symbolizing enlightenment and unity, they will bring guests together as they listen to acoustic performances by some of the world’s most talented musicians.

Modern-day troubadour Gonzalez’s new solo album, Vestiges & Claws, will debut February 17th and is his first in seven years. The album will feature his signature expressive classical guitar, emotionally delicate voice, touching melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics.

“At Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, we are always looking for new and innovative programs and activities to make our guests’ stay even more distinctive and memorable, tying the best global influences and entertainment with the natural beauty of Southern Thailand” said General Manager Carlos Tarrero. “By bringing Jose Gonzalez for the first Sunset Acoustic Concert, Phulay Bay guests will get exclusive access to an international talent and create memories to last a lifetime.”
