Centara Grand Modus Resort is one of the newest 5 star resorts in Pattaya. Located North of Pattaya in NaKlua. It is just right next to Pattaya most iconic architectural master piece the “Sanctuary of Truth”, a gigantic wooden palace with intricate sculptures of religion and philosophy.

The resort is on the beach front. There are 2 zones: beach side and tower. The beach side zones are low raise buildings. There are 2 pools in between the buildings and the beach. The beach was very well maintained by the staffs. There were some free activities, most notable was the kayak. Two seats and single seat kayak can go anywhere inside the zone. The zone is created by floating devices linked together to form a floating pier. It froms a loop that connects two far ends of the beach. Walking on the pier is extremely enjoyable especially during sunset.
It was a nice touch to have a movie theater that play off screen movies during the weekend. On the beach side zone the decoration was very rustic. The designer use iron, wood, concrete, chains, tent structures and roman pillars juxtapose to form a very unusual architectural décor. It’s either hated or like it kind of affair.
We checked in the Premium Deluxe Pool Access room. It had a unique décor style using printed translucent sticker of interiors covering glass walls of the bathroom. The room was slightly larger than deluxe, not enough for a family of 4. So we upgrade to a Deluxe family residence suite. It was on the tower wing. The space much larger, it was a corner unit so the windows open out to 2 sides. Being on the tower you can see a bird’s eye view of the surrounding area. Our unit had a terrace with nice sea views and the view of Sanctuary of Truth.
The signature restaurant “Twilight” is on the rooftop of the beach wing. The restaurant is surrounded by glass window providing a 180 degree view of the sea. The foods is western with Italian influences. Below are some of the dishes we tried.
