New Menu at Crave, Aloft Bangkok

We recently revisited Crave at Aloft Bangkok to try its new menu. It come with a promotions that is really interesting; 2 appetizers 1 flat bread and 2 main can be chosen from a wide selection menu. That’s not all for 999++ it includes 1 bottle of wine (sparkling, white or red). There are no limit for the amount person; two three or four if you order only 5 item and a bottle of wine that’s all you pay.

For the evening we tried Moscato, a very refreshing sparkling sweet wine.

Executive Chef Mark Hannon created his menu by combining his New York experience with Asian flair. We started with Mojito salad. A very refreshing salad with powerful kick of alchohol in the watermelon, sprinkle with feta cheese. Salad mohito

Next was the Fun-Guy flat bread. This was truly a well executed flat bread. The aroma of shitake mushroom and the truffle oil together with the mozzarella cheese will make you crave for more.

NYC kao soi. The sauce was more like a “Panang curry” than kao soi and large frech fries replaced yellow egg noodle. The mussels were delightful. However, this was a fun and interesting dish.

Churassco tenderlion was the next item. We enjoyed the tender juicy steak with nam jim jaew and the chimichurri and recommend this dish to steak lovers

Crying Tiger

Tuna Rare. Seared tuna served with Thai style nam tok sauce and local mushrooms. We enjoyed the nice thick cut of tuna.Tuna

Western Oriental Lamb Chops. Garlic and pepper marinated lamp chops served with cous cous and mint raita. Very well executed dish, the lamb chops were juicy and tender.

Sticky Pork Ribs. Very tender off the bone pork ribs served with jalapeno corn bread. ribs

For deserts we tried, chessert and coffee cake. Coffee cake. Layers of salt caramel, hazel nuts, coffee cakes chocolate and banana.
A combination of soft and crispy texture made this dish quite interesting.       sponge cake

Chessert was a nice creative and playful dish between a cheese plate and a dessert. We liked that the chef use blue cheese and the prosuciutto crisp and enjoyed the sweet and savory tastes of this dish.

Executive Chef Mark Hannon impressed us with his creativity. The items that we tried tasted great. At the moment, Crave probably offers the best deal in town.
