Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa’s highly acclaimed Italian restaurant, Brio, proudly presents a seasonal White Asparagus Menu from now onwards untill 15th June 2013 for lunch and dinner.
Created by Brio’s passionate new Italian Chef Michele Laiso, the special menu pays tribute to a coveted vegetable that was first cultivated by the ancient Greeks thousands of years ago.
As one of his favourite ingredients, Chef Michele raves about the versatility of this slender spear like vegetable, explaining that “White asparagus is a seasonal delicacy of northern Italy in April and May, and is celebrated with creative tasting menus, and in some cities even a dedicated festival. Asparagus is a beautiful vegetable to use alone or combine with others, and adds a subtle crunch or burst of flavour that can transform almost any dish. White asparagus is revered as a royal vegetable, and must be peeled before cooking or eating raw. It is also distinctly less bitter and more tender than green asparagus.”
In addition to Brio’s daily menu of authentic dishes and innovative creations, Chef Michele’s exclusive White Asparagus Menu tempts diners with an array of seasonally inspired special recipes. Starter highlights include a Capasante e Asparagi of flamed scallops, white asparagus puree and grilled broad beans with baked ricotta. A flavourful Suppa di Asparagi of white asparagus soup with salmon and mascarpone ravioli is followed by mouthwatering main dishes, including a Filetto di Manzo comprising a chargrilled Australian beef tenderloin, served with white asparagus, cherry tomatoes, parmesan and salsa verde.
White Asparagus Menu prices start from THB 360++. Prices are subject to 10% service charge and 7% government tax.
