Inspiring Chinese New Year Dining

The Year of the Horse will be welcomed in fine style with special edition lunch and dinner buffets at Taste on Friday, January 31, 2014. In addition to Taste’s usual gourmet international array, the Spring Festival Banquets will specially feature traditional Chinese New Year delicacies while the dinner buffet will add sumptuous selections of freshest seafood prepared in all the favorite ways and more.

Specially created to equally delight each generation of the family, and honor the deities and ancestors, each meticulously selected product and passionately prepared dish aims to invigorate the body and revitalize the senses. Among the highlights of the lavish banquet will be Hong Kong style whole roasted duck with Chinese kale and orange sauce, traditional chicken marinated with Chinese whisky, fish maw soup with crab meat, traditional jellyfish salad, and an enticing selection of Chinese cold cuts. There will also be Hong Kong style suckling pig and Peking duck, Chinese hot steamed snow fish with soy glaze, braised sea asparagus with bok choy and shitake mushroom, wok fried five lucky foods. There will also be divine desserts such as sesame paste dumpling with ginger syrup and assorted Chinese specialties.

Taste’s exciting dining concept features open kitchens and five live cooking stations allowing interaction between chef and diner. The international buffet offers a wide assortment of Mediterranean dishes such as antipasti, fresh pizza and pasta, Japanese and Thai cuisine, a carvery serving succulent meats and fish, and a heavenly dessert buffet with Mövenpick ice cream and chocolate fountain.

All at the remarkably reasonable net rates of Baht 1,140 for the lunch buffet and Baht 2,190 for the dinner buffet. Especially for SPG® members, an amazing 50% Lunar New Year discount is offered, bringing the lunch buffet to Baht 622 and the dinner buffet to Baht 1,195, both net.

The Chinese New Year Friday Lunch Buffet is served from 12.00 – 14.30 hrs and the dinner buffet from 18.00 – 22.30 hrs.
