James Evers, the Senior Winemaker from McGuigan’s BarossaValleyvineyard, and a member of the team awarded the International Winemaker of the Year came toThailand specifically for this event. The aim was to solidify the brand’s presence in theThailand market, as well as to showcase the excellent selection of McGuigan’s wines, while letting those joining fully experience them.

At the dinner, James expertly paired several internationally acclaimed gold medal McGuigan wines with selected courses.
McGuigan Black Label Chardonnay Pinot Noir Brut Cuvee
A rich vibrant sparkling wine with a fine bead and crisp finish. This wine has a full mouth presence featuring toasty peach and vanilla spice flavours.
McGuigan Private Bin Chardonnay
A classical varietal offering upfront fruit flavours featuring sweet tropical fruit and melon and a touch of caramel oak that results in a soft, smooth finish.
McGuigan Bin 9000 Semillon
The highlight of the evening was McGuigan exclusive Bin 9000 Semillon 2006 vintage, which was awarded ‘Best Semillon in The World’. A light wine when young with a clean fresh finish, it takes on a golden colour after some bottle ageing and develops delicious honey and toast characters.
McGuigan Private Bin Shiraz
A range created specifically for the on-premise trade this wine is smooth yet full bodied with a good mouth presence exhibiting both cherry and plum flavours as well as prominent toasty oak. An attractive firm tannin grip completes the wine.
McGuigan Shortlist Cabernet Sauvignon
From the Coonawarra region this is a wine with rich blackcurrant and choc mint flavours and a soft tannin structure.
