After the resounding success of his last visit Paul’s Master Chef Gilles Reinhardt will be enchanting diners with a delightful menu of outstanding culinary creations inspired by the man who stands alone among the world’s top chefs in maintaining 50 years of continued excellence in the field of fine dining as recognized by the prestigious 3 Michelin stars.

Chef Gilles was born on March 21st, 1975 in Mulhouse, France as he grew up in a small town of Alsace, Fellering. At the age of 5, he got an apron as present from his mum and then he kept saying that he wants to be a chef. During that moment, he used to push his mum to invite people in his village to try his cook with mom. That’s a beginning his dream to be a chef!  In 2000, he received a phone call from Paul Bocuse, the Master from Collonges and the Pope of French Gastronomy, offering him a job in his restaurant. From this moment, he went to a lot of international culinary competition and ended up every time on the podium.

Chef Gilles was awarded the famous title of MOF or “Meilleurs Ouvriers de France” in 2004 by the then French President Jacques Chirac. It is the most prestigious award for a chef and members of the pubic are able to distinguish a MOF holder by the red, white and blue collar of their chef’s jacket, representing the French Tricolore. This award is one of the highest achievements only a highly skilled chef could earn, as it is an honor bestowed for life.

Since 1965 L’Auberge Du Pont de Collonges, under the guidance of French Master Chef Paul Bocuse (or as he is known ‘the emperor of French cuisine’ and ‘the pope of cooking’ has never lost a third star which is all the more remarkable when taking into consideration that the Michelin inspectors inspect on an annual basis and even the smallest drop in quality can be grounds for removing a coveted star.  Hence this year L’Auberge Du Pont de Collonges is celebrating their 50 consecutive years of upholding this remarkable achievement which is matched by no other restaurant in the world.

Following the astounding success at 50th Anniversary event in Singapore, Chef Gilles Reinhardt will revive the very experience for Thai gourmet enthusiasts during Wednesday 3rd – Saturday 6th June 2015 at Wine Pub, from 18.00 – 22.00 hrs.

So come and celebrate this once in a lifetime event with us as we pay homage to the unrivalled achievement of a man who can truly be ranked among the finest chefs the world has ever known.
