One of the safest and quick weekend gateways is to stay in Bangkok. And find a nice hotel by the river. There is no need to travel long periods to just spend a night or two and have to travel back. Most of the time spent would be on the road. The Millennium Hilton is one of the top choices for this short gateway. There are many things to do in the area without having to drive.

Our room was the Executive plus suite. The suite consists of a large living room with wide curve windows that exposes the panoramic view of the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok skyline and the master bedroom with a Jacuzzi. There were 1 bathroom in the bedroom and 1 restroom in the living room. The rooms were well design part of that was the lighting that made the ambiance very relaxing especially in the evening.

We checked in on a Friday night everyone was hungry. The most convenient thing we like to do is room service. It was very hassle free, no wait for anyone to dress up, just order and wait. The best thing about it is the suite had a very beautiful ambiance; there is no need to look for a nice location.

Guest at the suites gets executive lounge privileges. The lounge is on the 31st floor providing 360 spectacular views of Bangkok. Lounge privileges also includes all day refreshments, breakfast, and evening cocktail with a full bar. The breakfast here is a buffet and is less crowded, compared with the breakfast at Flow but breakfasts at Flow have more options and varieties. What really makes the executive lounge worthwhile is the evening cocktail. There were varieties of canapés and drinks including alcoholic beverages. Evening is also the best time to be there to see the day light change to night.

The hotel pool is called the beach. Located on the 4th floor, again it is taking advantage of the riverside location. The pool gets a panoramic view of the river. As what you would expect in a beach there is a sandy zone where stepping on sand brings you a bit close to being in an actual beach. The pool has 2 zones swimming zone and stepping zone. There are also a couple of outdoor private Jacuzzis.
