New Talented Mixologist at Anantara Bangkok Riverside

Taking the cultured art of cocktails to a whole new level, Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa has appointed the talented Roberto Cuda as its expert Mixologist at the Pacific Rim restaurant and bar, Trader Vic’s.

Roberto fell in love with mixology while working in some of the world’s most famous bars.   He has trained with the best of the best in the mixology industry, and a passion for different cultures has taken his career to Spain, Sardinia, Ibiza, Italy and Brazil, as well as renowned establishments in London, Amsterdam and Dubai.

Viewing his profession as far more than a drinks oriented business, Roberto reads culinary books as if he were a chef in order to acquire an understanding of food and beverage pairing, as well as ingredient knowledge, such as herbs and fruits, for inventive cocktail infusions.

Loving nothing better than to chat with guests while impressing them with surprising creations, Roberto enthuses; “When I begin creating a new recipe, I not only consider how food will complement the flavours, but also the impact of the overall experience so that guests leave with wonderful memories of their entire interaction with me.  My motto is ‘do simple things well’, and the quality and careful pairing of the ingredients I use expresses this perfectly.”

With Roberto taking the helm of Trader Vic’s cocktail creations, guests can now sample unique drinks not found anywhere else in the city, including his brand new signature cocktail Trader Blazer which packs Jamaican rum, Cognac V.S.O.P, matcha Japanese tea with condensed milk and cinnamon stick.
