The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s specialist gourmet outlet La Pâtisserie has launched a new range of macaroon designed to meet the ever-growing demand for this popular item of confectionery.Pastry chefs at The Okura Prestige Bangkok have created new 12 flavours in an impressive rainbow of colours, priced individually at Baht 40+ and available in rolls of four (Baht 140+), eight (Baht 280+) and nine (Baht 315+). The full range is available from 1-30 July 2014 and embraces the following flavours: yuzu, passion fruit, cantaloupe, black sesame, coffee, chocolate, strawberry, apricot, pink peach, cassis, raspberry and vanilla.
Macaroons likely originated in France and have developed in different forms around the world. They remain one of the most popular confectionery items in Thailand.
La Pâtisserie is easily accessible via the BTS network at Phloen Chit station as it is located on the first floor of the Park Ventures Ecoplex at the corner of Wireless and Phloen Chit roads. Opens weekdays from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm; Saturdays from 8.00 am – 4:00 pm.
