An exclusive one night only wine dinner, a rare and very special occasion, will take place on Thursday, 19 November 2015 for Baht 4,500++ per person.
This is indeed a rare opportunity to sample authentic Italian recipes of unparalleled creative flair prepared by Chef Michele, accompanied by superior wines from both vineyards. We shall be joined by Mr. Giovanni Oliva, a representative of the wineries, who is flying in directly to deliver exclusive information regarding the premium selected wines to all diners. On this memorable night, each course will be carefully paired with impeccable wine from these two historical Italian vineyards.
The Fattoria’s vineyards, located in Magliano, Tuscany among the company’s rolling hills on volcanic calcareous soil, are planted mostly with Sangiovese grapes. Other varieties include Alicante, Cabernet Sauvignon, Morellino, Merlot, Canaiolo Nero, Malvasia Nera, Ciliegiolo, Vermentino Bianco and Sauvignon Bianco. In 1978 Fattoria Mantellassi played a key role in obtaining DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) recognition for Morellino di Scansano wine.
Founded in 1967 by Giovanni C. Sacchet and Antonio M. Zaccheo, Carpineto farms 424 hectares according to sustainable, low impact farming principles. Winemaking techniques respect the natural processes that transform grapes into wine. This combination gives birth to elegant wines of great longevity that are a true representation of their territory, neatly displaying the character of each vineyard and appellation. The wines of Carpineto include Dogajolo, Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile, Farnito and the Appodiati Single Vineyard Collection. Carpineto was the winner of the Trophy for Best Italian Wine Producer at the 34th International Wine and Spirits Competition in London and exports to over 70 countries.
