Fresh handmade pastas. Clay oven-baked pizzas. Time-honoured Tuscan specialties such as bistecca alla fiorentina – a Tomahawk steak marinated in red wine and fine herbs grilled over the fire – served with passion and innovative flair.
This Tuesday July 1st, Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok’s Tuscan-inspired cucina, Attico, begins serving discerning diners rustic Italian comfort food in a sophisticated, warm ambience. Soaring above Sukhumvit on the hotel’s 28th floor, the restaurant exudes a modern Tuscan villa setting, accentuated by the city’s glittering skyline. Hearty, traditional cuisine is accompanied by a selection of rare Tuscan wines, with exclusive wine flights on offer.
Headed by Executive Chef Dario Busnelli, a Lombardy native who spent his youth in Bangkok, Attico offers a distinctive take on Italian cuisine in the City of Angels. Chef Dario began his career at two-Michelin-starred restaurants near his hometown – Ristorante Pierino Penati in verdant Brianza, and Da Vittorio under the tutelage of famed brothers Enrico and Roberto Cerea. It was at Da Vittorio that Chef Dario immersed himself in the brothers’ distinctive style of innovative twists on traditional haute cuisine, as well as highlighting fresh seasonal produce and experimenting with a wide variety of fish dishes.
Moving to Prague in 2003, Chef Dario began work at the Four Seasons’ Allegro, headed by maestro Vito Mollica. The restaurant quickly became the top-rated in the whole Czech Republic, and the first to receive a Michelin star, with renowned guests including Pope Benedict the XVI. After seven years in Prague, and with an illustrious career working with some of the most celebrated Italian chefs of our time, Chef Dario made the decision to move back to Thailand, and now joins us as head chef at Attico.
Attico is open for dinner from 18.00 – 23.00 hrs. daily. For more information or reservations, please contact 02-302-3333 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
