Thai New Year celebrations for 2015 begin at The Okura Prestige Bangkok on 1 April 2015 at Up & Above restaurant with a traditional family style dinner set featuring dishes from the country’s four main culinary regions. The dinner set gives guests an opportunity to experience the variety of flavours and textures to be found in authentic Thai cuisine. The Thai family style dinner set, priced at Baht 1,400++, is available until 30 April 2015.
A main feature of the Songkran Sunday Brunch on 12 April 2015 at Up & Above is the selection of very popular goong menam (river prawn) dishes as well as BBQ suckling pig ‘Hong Kong style’ and a Mongolian grill with seafood and meats. Songkran Sunday Brunch with soft drinks is priced at Baht 2,300++. Songkran Sunday Brunch with free flow wines, local beers, selected cocktails and soft drinks is priced at Baht 3,000++.
At the hotel’s signature Japanese restaurant Yamazato, Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara has created a Songkran Gozen set lunch (Baht 850++) and Kaiseki set dinner (Baht 2,300++). The Gozen lunch includes grilled salmon and tempura of shrimp. Highlight of the Kaiseki dinner menu is the pork shabu shabu with vegetables and soy milk skin. Both menus are available on 11 – 15 April 2015.
