Appointment PR Manager Mandarin Oriental Bangkok

Amanda Hyndman, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, recently appointed Karn (Gail) Puntuhong as Public Relations Manager, International.

Karn or Gail  joined Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok in 2007 as an officer in the Business Centre prior to transferring to the Public Relations Department  in 2008.  During the past five years she has established excellent media relations both locally and internationally; and has in recent months been successful in developing the hotel’s international communications strategy as well as supporting many special hotel projects including the annual S.E.A. Write Award and the inaugural FANtastic Fundraiser.

Gail holds a Masters degree in Tourism Management from the University of Surrey, UK; and a Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management from Mahidol University International College prior to which she attended Putney High School in the UK for five years.

“Gail’s appointment and promotion is an excellent example of the career development opportunities at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok,” said Khun Amanda.  “I am confident that her excellent work ethic and innate professionalism will continue to drive the legend of ‘La Grande Dame’.
