Bangkok Airways launch of Bangkok to Mandalay

Bangkok Airways held a launching ceremony of its inaugural flight between Bangkok – Mandalay (began on 15 September 2013) at Shwe Pyi Thar Hotel, Mandalay. Bangkok Airways operates 4 flights weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) by Airbus 319 with seat capacity of 144. The flight from Bangkok to Mandalay, PG709 departs from Bangkok at 12.00 hrs. arrives Mandalay at 13.20 hrs. and coming back from Mandalay, PG710 departs Mandalay at 14.10 hrs. arrives Bangkok at 16.35 hrs. The Mid-year Promotion for Bangkok – Mandalay roundtrip fare starts at 3,790 baht (excluded airport tax and fuel surcharge) and valid to travel within 30 November 2013.

Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, Bangkok Airways’ President said, “It is with our great pleasure to begin our Bangkok – Mandalay service which I believe it will help boost  the Mandalay’s tourism and business development. And it has long been our plan to cover the three key cities of Myanmar by the end of this September. The first city was Yangon where Bangkok Airways has been offering 3 daily flights from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) and soon to be 4 flights per day starting from 27 October 2013. Secondly, Mandalay service commenced on 15 September 2013 offering 4 non-stop flights per week. Lastly, the capital city of Myanmar – Nay Pyi Taw, from 30 September 2013 with 3 non-stop flights per week.”

Also, Bangkok Airways has codeshare agreements with Thai Airways International, EVA Air, Etihad Airways, Air Berlin, Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Finn air, Malaysian Airlines and Japan Airline.
