Bangkok has emerged as the cultural hub of Southeast Asia with tons of events to keep you busy year-round. The Asian city is also the ideal place to catch great music festivals and concerts featuring popular artists, DJs and bands.

Making a visit to one of the popular Asian tourist destinations anytime soon? Here is a list of the top upcoming music festivals in Bangkok so that you can time your visit for some good ol’ entertainment. Already putting your dancing shoes on?

Purple Haze Festival Vol.1

Are you a Hip Hop head?

Alcopop is arranging Purple Haze Festival for the first time in Bangkok featuring popular Hip Hop acts from 3 continents. You can tap your toes to the tunes of American rapper ‘Rich the Kid’, Dynamite MC from the UK, DJ Murf from Korea and Twopee Southside, FIIXD and YoungGu from Thailand.

Afrodeesiac Festival 2019

The African-Latin cultural feat is coming back to Bangkok with arts, music, entertainment and dance. You can enjoy 3 nights of fun-filled partying with renowned artists from Africa churning out great numbers. The festival also features pioneering artists from around the world with a set of DJs to end it all!

Date: Oct. 4 – 7. 2019

International Festival of Dance & Music 2019

The annual festival is ideal if you want to witness world-famous musicians from all over the world live in action. Tip: For the IFDM 2019 you should definitely book tickets in advance as there is a great demand for the festival.

Waterzonic 2019

Waterzonic is a much-awaited music festival in Bangkok. They are back for the 6th year with world-famous DJs to keep you tripping for two whole nights. It’s also a water festival, and you can get drenched by water jets while dancing to the music.

You have to be 20-years old to attend the festival!

Date: 4 – 5 Oct. 2019

This music festival is held every year in April to celebrate the Thai new year. You can enjoy EDM and hardstyle numbers from popular artists like Yellow Claw, Headhunterz and Alok. The 3-day festival also features vintage markets and cultural workshops, and you can even learn some cooking!

Date: Stay tuned as the exact date is yet to be announced (likely April 2020)

Kolour in the Park

Kolour in the Park will be back in 2020 with music, food, dance, arts and water activities to help you have a great time. The 6th anniversary will feature various genres of music like house, techno, electronic, indie, neo soul and more. You can also enjoy performance arts with some wine from the boutique bars.

Venue: Thai Wake Park
