Our room was the Baraquda suite, it comes with a separated living room, an open bath, and big round Jacuzzi. The terrace looks out to the barracuda shape pool. The rooms are minimal style but well decorated. The bed has a leather back rest which makes it very appealing.
While we were there we tried 2 of the restaurants; S.E.A. and Sunset Lounge. S.E.A. specializes in South East Asian cuisine. Some of the dishes;
Trio satay (280); pork, chicken and beef, nicely grilled with moister in the meat.
Grilled yellow spring chicken (450) with seared sticky rice.
Pad Thai with fried soft shell crab (380); a very well executed dish, crab was crispy and sweet, which went together suitably with the well balance favors noodles.
Khow soi talay (380); the curry soup was very tasty, the fresh seafood compliments the noodles, the crispy noodles makes the dish more texturally complex.
Sunset lounge is a rooftop restaurant and bar, it gets the city view, sea view and on a nice day, it gets the Pattaya sunset.
Light cream roasted honey pumpkin with croutons (280).
Spaghetti frutti di mare (280), a very fresh dish with many textures, the garlic, tomatoes and seafood made the dish very flavorful.
Sun and moon star (1250); a combination plater of grilled Australian angus beef, New-Zealand lamb chop and king prawn with 3 sauces. The meats were cook nicely, by itself was great with the sauce made it even better.
Mango cheese cake (200)
Baraquda is ideal for couples that want to get away from the crowded scene of Pattaya but at the same time you can get everything that Pattaya has to offer.
