California Sunshine Uncorked Gallo Family Wine Tasting at BarSu

Bangkok, January 14, 2013. Refreshingly different, BarSu’s wine tastings are the perfect blend of fine wines, exquisite light bites and good company, all enjoyed in chic surroundings.

On Thursday January 24, 2013, BarSu and Siam Winery invite you to chill-out in style as elegant bartendees uncork a selection of notable wines from the E. & J. Gallo Winery in California. Each exceptional vintage will be complemented by Asian fusion gourmet bites from BarSu’s open kitchen.

From award-winning Pinot Noirs crafted on California’s North Coast to memorable Merlots and captivating Cabernet Sauvignons, E. & J. Gallo Winery has been delighting wine lovers for over 75 years.

At BarSu, guests will enjoy a welcome glass of sparkling Mont Clair Sparkling Brut served with a trio of Japanese-inspired amuse bouche including Kumamoto oyster with Maui onion salsa, a delicious snow crab with Mutsu apple, cilantro and lotus chips, and nameko mushroom tamago with truffle essence and shaved bonito.


The selection wines from sun-blessed California accompanied by enticing pass around delicacies will include the bright and balanced Gallo Family Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc served with sea eel, Hass avocado and a flying fish roe roll with torch ginger dip. The second refreshing white wine of the evening will be the Gallo Family Vineyard Pinot Grigio. The crisp wine with its hints of fresh green apple, white peach and citrus will be the perfect accompaniment for diver scallops with uni lobster sauce and Japanese squash.  Red wines will include the medium bodied Gallo Family Vineyard Pinot Noir paired with flash seared foie gras de canard enriched by liberty duck soy juice, daikon and daikon sprouts.  BarSu bartenders will also serve Gallo Family Vineyard Merlot matched with miso braised beef brisket tempura and a Sichuan pepper glaze, and the satisfying Gallo Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon complemented by matcha sable with azuki red bean and Nyangbo chocolate ganache and yumberries.

Five distinctive wines plus one sparkling and BarSu’s creative Asia fusion light bites are only Baht 1,400 net.
