Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok welcomes family members for an annual gathering to celebrate the beginning of the Year of the Horse with auspicious Chinese dishes at Shang Palace, available for lunch and dinner from 28 January to 6 February 2014.


Guests can indulge in special three set menus created by a Hong Kong-born Executive Chinese Chef Sham Yun Ming and his team. The set menus include:

  • The Fortune Menu for Bt2,288++ per person for a minimum of two guests
  • The Prosperity Menu for Bt2,888++ per person for a minimum of four guests
  • The Longevity Menu for Bt3,188++ per person for a minimum of four guests

Prices are subject to service charge and government tax.

All special Chinese New Year dishes are made of traditional ingredients that will enhance the happiness of family gatherings, such as prawns for liveliness, raw fish for good luck, and edible angel hair-like seaweed for prosperity.  Celebrating guests can also enjoy a special à la carte dishes during the promotion. Guests can join a traditional lion dance ceremony on Friday, 31 January 2014 at 10.30 a.m. at the main entrance of the Shangri-La Wing to bestow auspicious good fortune throughout in the Year of the Horse.
