“The Essence of Impermanence”
By Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew
“The Essence of Impermanence” presents mixed media paintings inspired by Buddhism philosophy that is about birth, aging, sickness and death. These conditions although are impermanence, they are life companion from the beginning to the end. The artist creates oil paintings together with various types of media such as cloths, strings, woods, etc. to make his signature classic virtual 3 dimensional window display come to life. The presentation perfectly corresponds with the core idea about the unavoidable truth of life and its constant changeability. “The Essence of Impermanence” is the latest solo exhibition by Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew, a young artist who has won many awards from international art sphere and has just been granted the title “Artist of Distinction” from the National Exhibition of Art.
“Seiji Kunishima’s Drawing”
By Seiji Kunishima
The exhibition “Seiji Kunishima’s Drawing” presents drawings by the Japanese master of 3 dimensional arts, Seiji Kunishima. Follow his principal concept that has always been applied to his sculptural works, Kunishima also creates drawings that inspired by the beauty of the opposite. The smooth and rough surface, the curvy and straight line, the softness and stiffness or even the form of natural creatures and the man-made geometry. The stated opposites not only help highlight the artist concept but also symbolize the ideas that connect both the external surrounding and his internal ideas together.
