Linkin Park to rock Thailand this November

The biggest rock act in the world today is coming to Bangkok for an outdoor concert blitz! Singha Corporation presents the Linkin Park Live in Bangkok Minutes to Midnight World Tour on November 11 at Aktive Square, Muang Thong Thani.

Three years ago Linkin Park amazed their Thai fans with a huge sold-out concert at Aktive Square. More than 30,000 rock fans witnessed the spectacle that was clearly the best concert of that year.

Now they are coming back, kicking off a world tour following the release of the “Minutes to Midnight” album earlier this year. Tickets in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan were sold out in a matter of hours, and the band has chosen just five destinations in Asia – and Thailand’s one of them!

Linkin Park is made up of band members Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon, Joseph Hahn and Darren Phoenix Farrell. They first achieved mainstream success in 2000 with their debut album “Hybrid Theory” which ended up the best selling album of that year. They followed that up with “Reanimation” and “Meteora” featuring the hits “Somewhere I Belong”, “Faint” and “Numb”. After a four year break they returned this year with the album “Minutes to Midnight” and the hit single “What I’ve Done”, a song that aims to raise public awareness about global warming.

BEC Tero’s Managing Director Neil Thompson said Thai fans would not be disappointed with the upcoming concert.

“Linkin Park fans will get to experience the best outdoor rock concert here in Bangkok again on November 11,” he said with a cheeky grin. “Linkin Park has confirmed it is bringing along a grand production team and sound system which guarantees that their concert here will be of the same standard as those in America, Europe, Japan and Australia. We have keep the ticket price down so that all the band’s Thai fans will have an opportunity to experience a Linkin Park concert ”

Linkin Park will be performing on November 11, 2007 at Aktive Square, Muang Thong Thani. Tickets prices are 2,800/1,800/1,200 and 600 Baht , public sale start on 29 September 2007 at ThaiticketMajor (02-262-3456) and Thai Post Offices in Bangkok and nearby provinces.
