One of Thailands most special holidays, Loy Krathong is performed on the night of the full moon during the 12th lunar month. The floating of a Krathong, a flower-shaped raft, traditionally made from banana leaves and flowers, is intended to float away ill fortune and to express apologies, as well as to worship Khongkha or Ganga, the River Goddess. This year, Loy Krathong will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24th. |
