Tapas Y Vino, the award-winning wine & tapas bar at Grand Millennium Sukhumvit has joined hands with Bangkok Art Gallery owned by Helene Rohart and Cyrille Hareux presenting the work of the two renowned artists, Marie Schem and Alan Berg from 1st May – 30th June 2009. Come for exquisite wine, tasty tapas ranging from Spanish to French and Asian and enjoy the two artists’ masterpieces exhibited along the walk way to the restaurant and throughout the hotel. Their great works include a selection of paintings on canvas with striking and vivid color. While Schem’s pieces focus on color express emotions along with faces switching from one state of mind to another, Berg’s works portray personal pictures or posters of world celebrities.
Marie Schem, Franco-Swiss Artist
All her paintings are "Acrylic on canvas."
Through her paintings, Marie Schem intends to study the look. Marie is a dreamer, a happy-go-lucky spirit, a cheerful person, whom life has forced into early seriousness. She has grown up between several countries, has come upon the Beaux-Arts, lived and blossomed there for four years. Influenced by her dual culture - Marie Schem paints amazing portraits. Over the last 15 years, she had permanent exhibitions in many countries around the world such as Paris, London, New York and Montreal.
Alan Berg, French Pop Art Artist
Born in 1948, Alan Berg composes and paints serigraphy on canvas, where are detached, on personal pictures or posters sentences worships or spangled banner, of mythical stars, sex-symbols or the celebrities of the whole world. Alan Berg shares his time between the States and France. He exposes permanently during the last four years in Lyon, Paris and New York. He has recently completed a project for the Fiat 500 and is now working for Benetton Group.
