Bangkok, October 7 2009. Thailand’s very own homegrown jazz sensation, saxophonist Koh Mr. Saxman accompanied by Jeremy Monteiro live at The Living Room in the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection hotel, nightly from October 22
nd – 24th, October 27th – 30th, and at the Sunday Jazzy Brunch on October 25th and November 1st, 2009

 

Koh Mr. Saxman, or Sakepol Oonsamran as he is also known, is widely regarded as Thailand’s foremost jazz musician; a top saxophonist who has done much to popularize the jazz genre in the country. A naturally gifted musician, as a youngster Koh Mr. Saxman studied the flute before moving on to the sax and has played it professionally since he was just 15 years old.    
 

In 2002, he released his first album under the name of Mr. Saxman. The moniker stuck and the album not only established his reputation as a major musical force in Thailand but also gained him recognition on the international jazz scene. 
 

Koh Mr. Saxman is the recipient of numerous awards and has worked with Thailand’s top acts, including the Infinity Band and Boy Thai. He has also been invited to perform his inspirational sax solos alongside Thai artists and superstars such as Bird Thongchai, Jennifer Kim and Asanee Lae Wasan.  

His approachable style of jazz continues to lure newcomers to the genre as well as delight diehard jazz fans. For evening sessions of top class sax playing and breathtaking solos, do not miss!
