Celebrate Loy Krathong and Oktoberfest at Millennium Hilton Bangkok

All of this makes the Millennium Hilton, a venue unmatched in Bangkok, the perfect location to celebrate this year’s Loy Krathong festival on November 2, 2009.  Across the board, we’ll bring you the finest dining and entertainment to make this year’s event one you will never forget. No matter where you choose to celebrate with us, you’ll be given a complimentary Krathong, designed and created just for our guests.

Where better to enjoy the evening’s festivities than Flow, the riverside dining venue that offers to perfect vantage point from which to watch the Chao Praya river sparkle with thousands of glittering Krathong and see the night sky alight with a spectacular firework display. Flow features delicacies from all over the world – sushi from Japan, rich flavours from the Mediterranean, melodic spices from South East Asia as well as the city’s first and finest Cheese Room, Flow is a venue with something to suit every palate and passion. For THB 4,200++ per person (Half price for guests 6-12), you’ll be greeted with a welcome drink, Flow Full Moon, entertained by the renowned Khun In, given a Krathong to float and be entered into our lucky draw. Spectacular Thai dances will enchant and bewitch you and a live band will bring a sense of energy and fun to this most joyous of occasions.

Diners at our luxury steak and grill restaurant Prime will also be given a complimentary Krathong, and be welcomed with a stylish and festive Krathongtini – created just for the venue – which will be running its full a la carte menu for this special evening.

Auspicious occasions always make Yuan a popular choice – for Loy Krathong, we’re offering a 6 course set menu for THB 2,880++ per person. For larger parties, there’s also a range of set menus featuring the finest traditional and modern delicacies from China for up to 10 guests at THB 14,000++ to THB 52,000.

If it’s fireworks you’re after, climb high in the sky at either ThreeSixty or our Rooftop Terrace, and see the skies light up and the river glitter with thousands of twinkling Krathong. ThreeSixty is offering a 4 course Thai set menu at THB 3,500++ per person, featuring local delicacies such as soft shell crab, Atlantic salmon and Panang curry with Australia veal shank. If you prefer to join us for just a drink, your THB 1,000++ cover charge includes your first beverage. After 11pm there’s no cover charge at all, and the cool sounds of our live jazz band will entertain you well into the night.

On the Rooftop Terrace enjoy a unique moonlight picnic for only THB 2,000++ per person, listening to laid back beats from our in-house DJs. You’ll be welcomed with a Full Moon cocktail and a sumptuous picnic hamper featuring Thai delicacies such as golden fried Tiger Prawn with mango chilli dip, salads of rare grilled Wagyu beef of soft shell crab and Tom Yum soup with Phuket lobster.

Guests at Maya, open from 5pm until the small hours, will experience the first modern Thai style lounge and restaurant in the city, with a stunning contemporary décor with a distinctive Thai touch. Artful surroundings are matched by exquistite and unique cocktails and an interactive theatre kitchen. Our bar and lounge The Lantern also offers laid-back seating the personal service until 11pm.

Few cultural festivals have made a global impact like Oktoberfest – the 16-day Bavarian festival dating from 1810, renowned throughout the world as a celebration of the finest beers, ales and friends. Thanks to German - Thai Chamber, Air Berlin and the Millennium Hilton Bangkok, you don’t need to travel to Munich to experience the fun and frolics – we’re bringing Bavarian authenticity with a twist of classic Thai hospitality to our riverside dining venue, Flow, from November 6-7 2009.

After the success of last year’s Oktoberfest event, we are delighted to announce the return of our Guest Chef, Leander Roerdink-Veldboom. Chef Leander has created a menu of German delicacies including Baked Bavarian meatloaf, whole roasted pork with caraway gravy, while roasted chicken and boiled Weisswurst sausage. They’ll also be a delectable array of traditional Bavarian cold cuts and breads, such as caraway bread rolls and pretzel with cheese for only THB 1,300 net (not included beverage) per person. You’ll be able to enjoy these fine foods as well as Paulaner beers – the main event, of course! Stay late into the evening with the sounds of Anton and Band – the German band who have played at the Oktoberfest many times and the Band will be flown over just for the occasion. Flow is the perfect place to enjoy the festivities – a relaxed, information atmosphere with good music, great food and the finest beer.
