Barcelona-based Ignasi Terraza Jazz Trio swings into town on October 15 – 18, 2010 for just four nights of sensational music at Bangkok’s renowned live jazz venue!
Influenced by Oscar Peterson, Wynton Kelly and Ahmad Jamal, and fed by classic jazz tradition, the Ignasi Terraza Trio keep alive one of the most essential characteristics of the jazz; swing! The outfit’s rhythm, creativity, and respect for the jazz genre, take the listener on an extraordinary musical journey from swing to bebop and the blues producing moments of intensity and pure emotion.
The trio’s recorded works include, “Let me tell you something”, “Jazz in the darkness”, “It’s coming” and their latest release, “In a sentimental groove”. A constant presence on the European jazz circuit, this exceptional jazz band is also renowned internationally. Recently, the Ignasi Terraza Jazz Trio were chosen to perform with director Woody Allen when he was invested with an honorary Doctorate by the University of Barcelona following his feature film, Vicky, Cristina, Barcelona. The band’s music is also included in the soundtrack of John Travolta´s movie, From Paris with Love.

Andromeda Turre at The Living Room
Bangkok, October 4, 2010. American jazz diva, Andromeda Turre lights up The Living Room with her seductive voice and alluring stage presence from October 19 - 23, 2010.
Grammy-nominated Andromeda brings her distinctive style to Bangkok’s most celebrated live jazz venue for five memorable nights. During her much anticipated performances Andromeda’s extraordinary vocal artistry will be complimented by the outstanding Shawn Kelley Trio.
Andromeda's professional musical career began working as a backing singer as a ‘Raelette’ for the legendary Ray Charles. She went on to star as the lead vocalist for the renowned J.C. Hopkins Biggish Band, a classic jazz, swing ensemble in the tradition of Duke Ellington and Count Basie. Appearing from New York to Los Angeles, Andromeda performed sparkling renditions of jazz standards and J.C.’s Grammy award-winning original tunes. Los Angeles-based Andromeda also appeared in Murder Mystery Blues, a musical inspired by Woody Allen, and starred as the “Queen of the Blues” with the Jazz Big Band at Tokyo Disneyland. While in Japan, she recorded her debut album “Introducing Andromeda Turre” which received a nomination at the prestigious 2008 Grammy awards.
At The Living Room, Andromeda will be ably supported by the Shawn Kelley Trio. A veteran of the New York jazz scene, Shawn and his band always deliver an engaging performance of virtuoso musicianship.
