Just imagine how this place was built, how much time it took, what kind of problem the craftsmen had to go through to achieve what we are seeing. This is evident to the achievement of Thai craftsmanship to work as a team and over come all barriers to accomplish what is now where we are. With this thought coming here is like filling yourself up with energy to confront any problem. Thais should be proud of their ancestors.
The grand palace was establish in 1782 during the reign of king RAMA I the first king of the Chakri dynasty. It was his initiation to move the offices, royal residence, ceremonial complex, and religious quarters across the Chao Phraya river from the Wat Arun complex on the Thonburi District. From then onwards more buildings were added to serve all the royal functions and ceremonies by the king in throne of that present time.

Just right outside the temple of the Emerald Buddha, Buddist are paying their respect and worshiping the spirits existing in the area.
