It would be great if you could go on a date with someone special where the food and the ambience are equally great. Crystal grill at Baiyoke Sky Hotel offers both elements. Located on the 82nd floor of the tallest building in the City of Angel, Crystal Grill serves international buffet including Thai, Japanese, European and Mexican food. Yes, thats right. Mexican food is the specialization of the head chef here.

When speaking of Mexican food, one of the dishes that comes to mind is Taco. Taco is generally made from ground beef mixed with Mexican spices. It is served in a crispy taco shell together with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sour cream, black beans and cheddar cheese. Taco at Crystal grill, however, has been deliberately modified to suit the taste of Thai people. The stuffing is not too bland and the scent of the spices is not too strong. Additionally, instead of using ground beef, the chef uses shredded grilled beef which gives a smoky flavor and unique texture. With the choices of beef, chicken and vegetable, this popular Mexican dish would please your taste buds and make you come for more.
Great food must come from the best ingredients. Crystal grill also offers imported sirloin steak; lamb; fresh grill seafood such as river prawns and rock lobster; a variety of sashimi and sushi; and vegetable from the Royal Project. The Caesar salad here is worth trying as well as a simply Thai dish such as Joke (rice porridge), Pad Thai and Tom Yum Koong. Last but not least my favorite dessert to end a perfect meal is the chocolate fountain.
Good food combines with the restaurant simple decoration and superb view of Bangkok at night, Crystal grill is a place you want to consider visiting. Do not forget to go up to the revolving viewpoint on the roof deck, 88th floor. It is said that, in the daytime, if you use the telescope provided, you would be able to see the Gulf of Thailand. Or should you wish to enjoy the view with an interesting small museum, please visit 77th floor.
Reservation is recommended. It is best to go there earlier than late evening due to high demand of the use of elevator. For more information or reservation, please call 02-656-3000, 02-656-3456 press 4.
