Markus Schmidt was appointed General Manager of Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa in February 2008.

Mr Schmidt has extensive hotel management experience, particularly in Europe and the Middle East. He joined Hilton Hotels in 1994, and has led the Operations and Business Development teams at a number of Hilton’s properties including at Hilton Dusseldorf and Hilton Algiers.

Prior to joining Hilton Hua Hin, he was Director of Operations at the Athenee Palace Hilton in Bucharest, Romania.

A German national, Mr Schmidt speaks three languages including German, English and French.
