Most people may recognize Crepe as crispy Japanese dessert or thin and soft French crepe served with juicy fruits and crème. It can also be cooked as main dishes. You may often see it as a wrap with stuff filling inside, but at Bug and Bee café, you may see crepe different from your familiarity.
The new Bug & Bee café is located on the 3rd floor of MBK. It is the second branch after Bug and Bee café on Silom road. The café was first established in 2003 by Mr.Tony King and Mr. Andrew Li who love to create crepe dishes as fushion food in different styles. The new Bug and Bee café is one of the places to relax after shopping or escape from the crowd at busy MBK center.

We were served with 2 smoothies called Mango Viola and Mango Marvel. The first is a combination of mango mixed with berries smoothie which is very good and refreshing because sour berries go very well with sweet mango. Next, Mango Marvel is mango smoothie with green sago (in Thai Sa-koo) at the bottom and topped with whipped crème. This drink tastes fine and is not too sweet with scent of a real mango.
We had two main courses. The first is Crepe pasta with salmon meatball in tomato pesto sauce. The dish gives a nice scent of sweet basil. However, the salmon meatball is too tough and there should be more pesto sauce in dish. Next, we had spicy Pad-Kee-Mao (drunken noodle) which tastes like real Pad-Kee-Mao but a little too salty.

Afterwards, we were served with Crepe roti banana and peanut butterbanana pasted with peanut butter wrapped in thin crepe and topped with chocolate sauce and powder. Finally, we had chocolate prune cake served with hot caramel. The tasted of chocolate cake with prune is okay but we think it is too dry.

This small size café has a friendly ambience with nice and casual decoration together with a good service. The place provides comfortable seats where you can enjoy a chat with friends.

From sampling the menu, we think that crepe should be for dessert. If you are looking for something different, the carbohydrate of Pad-Kee-Mao and Rad-Na can be replaced with crepe and presented nicely at Bug and Bee.
