If you craze about cake, Lenôtre should be a name you are familiar with. Here it serves cakes in traditional French style with outstanding presentation. 1957 was when Lenôtre first established in Paris by chef Gaston Lenôtre. The brand spread all over France and the world as traditional French bakery and restaurant. Lenôtre has made its launch in Thailand in 2004 which one of the four branches we visited is located on Langsuan road.
The atmosphere

Located at the ground floor of Natural Ville Executive Service, Le Nôtre occupies the al fresco seat with a bar at the front area. The indoor table provides you comfortable seats with nice decoration. We were greeted to the French Thai-speaking chef Willy Daurade who took care and served us the venue's creations.
All desserts at Lenôtre are served and decorated beautifully. Chef Willy Daurade recomended us four types of dessert. We started with the fruit cake called Bagatelle. It is a tasty layer cake of pistachio shortcake with fresh strawberries, vanilla mousseline cream, raspberry coulis and imprinted white chocolate on top. The strawberry is very fresh and goes very well with the cake and cream.

Next, it's a chocolate time. We were offered Volute Chocolat which is a dark chocolate dome of mousse, crispy chocolate biscuit, and green tea crème brûlée inside. We think that Volute chocolat should match nicely with tea.

Followed by Parfait chocolat au lait glacé, thé vert, lychees rôtis, Lenôtre's creation with tropical fruit lychees. It is a frozen smooth milk chocolate parfait with sesame seeds stuffed with green tea and served with lychee syrup and roasted lyches.
Bagatelle and Volute Chocolat
We ended our afternoon delight with Macarons glacés. This is a creation from the original French dessert macarons. It's an French biscuit filled with raspberry, vanilla, chocolate and pistachio ice-creams served with raspberry sauce. The raspberry sauce offers a refreshing taste to these ice-cream filled macarons. Chef Willy mentioned that making great macarons is not easy because it should be crispy but soft inside.

Apart from tea or coffee, they also serve wine that matches cakes. They also provide wireless internet service so wouldn't have to worry about not being connected. For ladies who love nicely decorated cakes, Lenôtre should be on top of your list.
