An image of dancing sexy girls may easily pop up in your mind once you hear the word "Coyote" especially in Thailand. But it also refers to a kind of wolf inhabit in border area of the US and Mexico. And again, how many would think that "Coyote" can also refer to the American/Mexican restaurant located at the entrance of Sukhumvit 33. The restaurant is the second branch after the Coyote Bar and Grill on the Convent road.

At Coyote, they serve Tex-Mexican food where most menus combine of grilled dishes served with beans, tomato, bell peppers, avocados, onions as well as Mexican corn chips with various types of salsa.

If you have never tried Mexican food, you should get started with combination menus to sample all it has to offer.

So we started with La Plata Entrada a mix entree consisting of chips and three dipping salsas with grilled beef and chicken wing. It was so good that we had to order a second dish.

La Plata Entrada
If you're into sizzling hot and freshly cooked dish, Fujitas can be a good choice. You can choose 2 favorite meats to be served on a sizzling hot iron skillet cooked with grilled onions and bell peppers. The dish is served with sour cream, red salsa and warm flour tortillas.

We ordered Nachos as well. It is a hearty plat of tortilla chips topped with shredded grilled chicken, diced tomato chorizo and Mexican spices.

Fujitas and Nachos

Enchiladas suiza
Followed by Enchiladas suiza, two soft corn tortillas rolled around your choice of filling (we had a classic with chicken, jack cheese and tomatillo salsa) with cheese and refried beans. They are well baked and topped with melted jacked cheese, guacamole and sour cream. A bed of red salsa, black beans and Mexican rice are served together.

Perfecto Plato De Postres is another mix menu that you should order. This mix dessert consists of Peach Pecan Chimichanga, Caramel Plan, Ibarra Fudge Brownie and Lime Pie. The Peach Pastry and Brownie are yummy but Lime Pie seems to be too insipid.

Coyote is also famous as a margarita house. This place might be called a "heaven" for margarita drinkers because you can pick your favorite drinks from more than 75 magaritas and 40 tequilas they offer. That evening, we had 6 magaritas: Jamaican, Passionfruit, Peaches & Cream (we recommend this one), Chocolate Magarita, Magarita Orgasmo, and Firecracker. The last margarita was made from Mexican chili Jalapeño making the drink too hot at the first sip. Actually, we want to say that It was extremely too hot that we bet no one is able to finish a glass of it.

We ended the day with 4 tequila shots: Dessert Flag, Mexican Wave, Rattlsnake Shooter and Yucatan Shot. There was no doubt why we got home with almost blinded-eyes.

At Coyote, you will be served and treated in American style—as friends treat friends. So it suits those who miss the US, you will feel like you are there. The ambiance is fun and friendly, making it a perfect place to party with friends.

We may conclude that it is a fun place to go with all the choices of drinks. For food, if you have a large appetite or really starving this is the place for you because they serve high-in-energy filling dishes at large portions.
