Yes, have the cake and coffee too. We have introduced you to many kinds of cake offered in dessert venues. Today, we bring you to a place where it is internationally renowned as the world's leading coffee venue. The stand alone Starbucks at Thonglor is one of the branches around Thailand and the world where it provides comfortable seats indoor and outdoor and welcomes all customers to comfortably spend their time as the third place there.

After we met Khun Rojana Hormsin, 2006 Starbuck's Coffee Ambassador, we were introduced to coffee drinking culture that is: drink it pure and black. But why black? Drinking dark coffee may not be easy to anybody. According to Khun Rojana, she explains that we can sense the real taste of the coffee having it this way.
The Arabica is the top grade coffee beans and is preferred in use to the Robusta type among the fresh coffee industry. The first is the Latin American coffee called House Blend. This coffee is the lightest among the fresh coffees Starbucks has to offer. In stead of drinking the coffee with cream and sugar, a match dessert can be a replacement. This House Blend suits desserts made from nuts, apple or blueberry, so the coffee pair is Skinny Blueberry Muffin which lessen the strong taste of the pure coffee making it easier to drink.

Khun Roj says we can tell the kinds of coffee from its odor. Then, it's time to move on to the venue's medium tense coffee, the African black Kenya which is outstanding in its unique scent and acidity which gives fresh feeling to drinkers. The coffee is perfect with desserts made with berries, black current or grapefruit. The Blueberry Cheesecake is perfect with this Kenya coffee.

The chocolate roll is the next pairing roll with the next black and more tense coffee "Muan-Jai" from Maehongson blending with coffee from Pacific Asian region. This coffee is very rich in flavor and goes nicely with sweet or creamy chocolate dessert.

The venue's last and darkest coffee is the Esspresso Roast which is a blend between Pacific Asian and Latin American coffee. We can sense the odor of the dark roasted coffee beans from this cup. It is nice pairing with sweets made of chocolate, caramel and nuts. Starbucks Espresso Brownie's rich and sweet flavor is a perfect match recommended by the venue.

From sampling the coffee, we started to agree that coffee should be for pure black in case you want to feel the 'real taste' of the coffee. The creamy and sweet taste of creamer and sugar can break or cover up the coffee beans' taste. The venue offers all kinds of coffee served hot and cold with wide range of options for all customers. It also provides drinks from tea, cocoa or fruit as alternatives to those who can't drink coffee. The sampling black coffees are served at Starbucks weekly or monthly according to each venue's program. If you prefer to try the Starbucks' fresh black coffee at home, the product is available at all Starbuck's venue.
