'Desires' debut @ Gossip Gallery
 
‘Desires’, the latest contemporary art exhibition by Meng Yan, one of China’s most controversial contemporary artists in the 21st Century, was unveiled recently in Bangkok at the Gossip Gallery on Sukumvit 28. The opening ceremony, presided over by M. L. Laksubha Kitdakorn (2nd from left), the managing director of Baan Laksasubha Hua Hin, and director of The First Steps International Pre-School, was well attended by renowned Thai artists, collectors and media.

‘Desires’ is Meng Yan’s first solo exhibition outside of China and features the artist’s best 10 master works from a collection of more than 40 pieces. Bangkok was chosen to be the exhibition’s first overseas stop before it travels to France, Italy and the United States. ‘Desires’ will run from now through Sept. 31, 2008.
