Dining among the scenic sunset is something to look forward to during your stay in Krabi. Bellini restaurant in Amari Vogue resort is one of the few Italian restaurants in the city. The resort is fairly new, first established in 2007 and sets on the end of the road to Tab-Kaek beach surrounded by the scenic view of the ocean and mountains

Bellini is an al-fresco Italian restaurant on the beach facing west to the ocean. It is where you can see Koh Hong and Phang-Nga's Koh Yao. This spectacular location allows you to see the most beautiful sunset in Krabi making it a rare place for your Italian dining in the city.

We were welcomed by Khun Wanna who gave us a great recommendation on food and wine. The food is created with both local and imported ingredients and seasonings by the German chef Matthias J. Cantauw a skillful chef who makes the nice creation from traditional Italian and the local seafood ingredients.

We got started with the 2-in-1 dish of Mozarella with tomato and rockets salad. This combination is served nicely in a long plate and followed by vegetarian risotto with mushroom.

Our meat dish is the grilled lamb cutlets with baked polenta and fine ratatouille and parmesan chip in garlic and rosemary sauce. This dish is simply lovely by the way chef cooks the lamp.

Next, it's chef Matthias' recommendation, the Italian dish of the local ingredients which is Saltimbocca from Tiger Prawns and Rock Lobster. This is cooked very well and served very nice. Cooking the Rock Lobster is not easy since it tends to have a strong scent if cooked improperly. After sampling, we agree that this dish reveals the strong skill of chef Matthias.

This is the place where you'll receive a great service from all staffs. The food, ambience and service are simply good. It is recommended to come prior to the sunset to observe the beauty of the changing sky. Most of the food here might not relate to the seaside location, but if you are here in Krabi and yearning for Italian cuisine, Bellini should be the in top of the list!
