The restaurant manager Mathias Birembaux greeted us and made some recommendations. We went for the Saturday promotion "all you can eat Tapas with a bottle of wine 900 baht per person". You get 1 bottle of wine per person, if you can't finish it, you can bring it home. There were many varieties of tapas that could be choosen from the menu eg. tomato soup, salads, deep fried soft shell crab, barbecue satay, baked mussels, fried prawns just to name a few. The ones we like are pan seared tuna on olive oil and balsamic, the tuna was seared just on the surface leaving the large center raw red and juicy. The beef carpaccio with rockets was really good, a dish you would pay at least 200 baht, you can have as much as you can here. Another rare one we like is fresh sardine in garlic and vinegarate, the sardine was sweet and flavorful. Mathias came to see us regularly, asking how things are going. He did recommend us a plate of 5 cold cuts and 5 cheeses. This plate was a treat it is served on a wooden cut board ,on it, many hams/salamis with different types of olives and pickles. Also on the cut board were the cheeses, very well selected from mild to pungent served with a variety of preserved fruit and nuts. The cheese were the hi light of this meal, they come in a variety of flavors and scents which went along well with the wines. There were 2 of them that had a really strong scent with molds on the surface which was perfect with "Mosaico" Syrah/Malbec 2008 and preserved kiwi, it also makes you drink more.
