Grand opening Best Western's Amaranth Suvarnabhumi

THE WORLD'S LARGEST HOTEL CHAIN®, Best Western International, launches its latest Best Western Premier hotel in Bangkok – BEST WESTERN PREMIER AMARANTH SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT - on 24th November 2009.
Best Western International defines Best Western Premier as a unique collection of hotels and resorts which deliver higher-end service and amenities with international sense and style, complemented by the refined essence of each hotel’s cultural and geographic setting.

The name for this new hotel in Bangkok was inspired by the definition of the Greek term “Amaranth”, meaning the "one that does not wither” or the never-fading (flower). Thus the theme of tonight’s event is “THE MIRACLE OF THE AMARANTH”, an evening attended by travel and trade professionals, business partners, government and business sector representatives, celebrities, honoured guests and media.

The MCs for the evening are famous Thai celebrities Luked Methinee and Bird (Bird & Hart). Entertainment includes a performance by a quartet from the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, along with a traditional Thai dance to symbolize the everlasting Amaranth flower. The new hotel’s head chef also presents his signature drinks and a sumptuous array of canapés and dishes.

“While we are re-launching the Premier brand with service, amenity, décor and image upgrades starting 2010, Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport already meets all the new applicable standards and as such gives guests an opportunity to experience the future of Best Western Premier today” said Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia Glenn de Souza.

Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport is located just 10 minutes from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International airport. The hotel’s 278 rooms include 238 deluxe suites, while 39 Executive Club Floor rooms are decorated in Thai contemporary style influenced by modern Western refinement. All rooms include IDD telephone, spacious working area, LCD flat screen TV with cable channels, free wi-fi and an array of other in-room amenities.

Hotel facilities are ideal for business and leisure travellers to unwind and enjoy their stay. These include a large, landscaped swimming pool and gymnasium with state-of-the-art fitness equipment and relaxing AMA spa offering a range of massages and beauty treatments, delivered by expert therapists in a stylish yet tranquil atmosphere.

Food and beverage facilities comprise Bua Chompoo, a smart-casual all-day dining a la carte and buffet restaurant, classic Japanese restaurant, Red Brown, lively lobby lounge and bar and pool bar.
Among the banqueting and conferencing facilities are The Amaranth Ballroom with a capacity of up to 800 guests. Smaller rooms are designed to host 30 classroom style conferences. All are fully equipped with high-end audio visual amenities. Business guests are also catered to with a deluxe business center.
For guests’ convenience, the hotel operates its own shuttle bus services to and from Suvarnabhumi International Airport as well as to BITEC Convention Centre, Bangna, and major points of access to downtown Bangkok.

“Besides its style and service, the hotel’s big advantage is its location at the heart of the thriving business community growing up around Bangkok’s international airport. Guests can also easily reach central Bangkok or hop across to a resort along the coast,” pointed out Mr. de Souza.

“With the emphasis the government is placing on catalyzing business and the tourism sector in particular, we are looking forward to seeing the hotel play a key role in facilitating certain aspects of this. But above all, Best Western Premier’s accentuated customer focus promises to deliver original guest experiences which symbolize the best of Thailand with impeccable international standards throughout.” Mr. de Souza added.
