Bamboo Chic was our favorite place for late night Sashimi and creative cocktails, when they had a promotion called sushi after dark. Now they have a new promotion which is a buffet. We went there to find out what is on offer.

From the dimly lit lobby with a rare cedar wood scent to getting on the elevator with the sound of crickets to the dark tone and sexy dinning hall of Bamboo Chic, Le Meridian plays with all your scenes. The double floor space has appealing lighting and sound system which set the tone as you walk in it makes you feel like a night club. The music progresses from light to more of a dance beat later in the evening. This give you an opportunity to dance after the dinner. There is also a jazz band that plays real good.

We were seated right in front of the stage having close range to the performance. We were there on a Thursday night it was about 70% full. Bamboo Chic is divided into 4 parts, the bar which combines the Sushi bar, the DJ station and wine cellar, the live cooking stations and buffet, and the dining hall with stage.

The buffet offers a variety of Asian influenced food with live cooking stations made when you order. Fresh sashimi is at high quality higher then most buffets. Apart from the usual they have the hamashi which is pretty rare for a buffet. At the buffet there is a mixture of Thai, Japanese, Chinese. Items which we don't see much in buffets like stir fried egg plants, or prawn kung pao.

The Mongolian live cooking station was fun. You get to choose your own ingredients from a wide variety of meats and vegetable and sauces. It is all stir fried with a big flame than serve to you table. The tepanyaki station has fresh seafood and premium beef to choose from.

Dessert is not a buffet but it is a set which changes weekly. The night we were there it was a raspberry Panna cotta, ice cream of your choice,  fruit on a stick and lodchong. If you are looking for something different from the usual buffets, Bamboo Chic is a great choice at an affordable price.

Bamboo Chic Buffet 1,200 baht per person including a cocktail or a drink of your choice.
