Craig Smith, Chief Operations Officer Asia Pacific of Marriott International Inc., announces  the promotion of Philip Bryson  to the position of Area Vice President, Marriott International South East Asia. Bryson will take full operational responsibility for the properties in Thailand, The Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Philip Bryson has been working for Marriott international for over 17 years.  He served in 5 General Manager positions including the Courtyard in Leamington Spa England, Marriott Tudor Park Hotel and Country Club in Kent, Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Renaissance and MEA Mumbai, and the Renaissance Harbour View in Hong Kong.   was promoted to Area Vice President overseeing Northern China, Korea and Guam in May 2010.
 
As Area Vice President, Bryson has improved on the results of his properties and built a solid team underneath him.  He has developed solid relationships with his owners.  Most of all, he has distinguished himself by focusing on the leadership of the hotels driving the most important parts of our business by building a structure of accountability and reward
