HRH Princess Ubol Rattana presented fourteen Golden Kinnaree awards to winners at the “4th Bangkok International Film Festival Golden Kinnaree Awards Gala” held recently at the Ballroom of The Conrad Hotel Bangkok.
The event was attended by international dignitaries from around the world. French star Catherine Deneuve and Thai star Sombat Methanee were presented with the Lifetime Achievement Awards in recognition of their contributions to the cinema.
Kinnaree award winners are:
Best Picture – ‘WATER” produced by David Hamilton, directed by Deepa Mehta Canada/India)
Best Director – Chan-Wook Park for ‘SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE” (South Korea)
Best Actor – Presley Chaweneyagae for ‘TSOTSI” (South Africa/UK)
Best Actress – Felicity Huffman for ‘TRANSAMERICA”( United States)
ASEAN Film – “THE BRIDE OF SILENCE” directed by Doan Minh Phuong and Doan Thanh Nghia (Vietnam)
New Voices – ‘KEPT AND DREAMLESS” directed by Martin DeSalvo and Vera Fogwill (Argentina).
Best Documentary – “RIZE” directed by David LaChapelle (United States)
Jamesan Best Asian Short Film – ‘UNDER CONSTRUCTION” directed by Lee Hyung-Suk (South Korea)
Jameson People's Choice Award – ‘ART OF THE DEVIL 2” directed by Kongkiat Khomsiri; Art Thamthrakul; Yosapong Polsap; Putipong Saisikaew; Isara Nadee; Pasith Buranajan; Seree Pongniti (Thailand)
