Fireworks in the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty Accession to the Throne

On the night of 10th June at 20.30, there was a special event related to the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty Accession to the Throne, The Fireworks, at The Chao Praya River location between Memorial Bridge and Pra Pinklao Bridge. Thousands of People were crushed into a place where they could see fireworks as clear as possible. Especially at the Memorial Bridge, photographs were taken here. Other place like Yaowarat Road was also jammed with people. It made the traffic paralyze for a moment, cars could not move, drivers had to stop and see what was going on around there. It was like a special occurrence when numbers of people stopped, gathered at the same time, did the same thing which was waiting to see fire works exploding in different shapes and colors but they were in the same theme, the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty Accession to the Throne.

Fireworks came from 4 different companies, small 20,000 fireworks imported from Japan, Ikosan Company (the advantage point of this fire work is non-smoke, colorful and quite silent), big 500 fireworks from Royal Thai Army Chemical Department, 250 fireworks from K2K Thailand Company and 100 fireworks from Surasiang Company. It would take time about 35 minutes to fire up all fireworks in the middle of The Chao Praya River by using 3 landing Crafts of Department of Army Transportation.

There were free open places where people could sit and watch fire works clearly like Sanam Luang, Suan Santichaiprakan Park, under Rama VIII Bridge, Thonburi side, Wat Arunrajawararam, Thammasat University, Siriraj Hospital. However, you should have come early before the fireworks start inflaming because traffic jam and groups of people would make you miss this splendid occasion.
