Happenings at Angelini Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok

Angelini at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok presents a five-course Antinori Wine Dinner for one night only on Saturday, 14 June 2014.


Diners can savour the beauty of a great paring of vintage wines and succulent dishes perfectly prepared by Chef Omar Ugoletti, such as Pan-seared Foie Gras with Grapefruit and Port Wine Sauce and Grilled Wagyu Ribeye with Endive, Smoked Eggplant and Port Wine Sauce.  Mr. Jacopo Pandolfini from Antinori will guide diners through this spectacular wine journey with a wine tasting session. Ms. Lilibeth Antonio, the talented Filipino singer, will also entertain diners during the meal . The Antinori Wine Dinner costs 2,200++ baht for a five-course set menu with wine pairing.

The Antinori family has been involved in the production of wine for over six centuries, ever since Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered as a member of the “Arte Fiorentina”, the Winemakers’ Guild of the city of Florence, in 1385.  During this entire long period, thorough 26 generations, the family has always directly managed this work with courageous and, at times, innovative decisions, but always maintaining, unaltered, a fundamental respect for tradition and for the territory in which they have operated.




As the whole world warms up for the remarkable tournament held once every four years, Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok is proud to present Futbol Fiesta.  Guests can view all football matches broadcast live on a giant screen from 12 June to 13 July 2014, from kick-off until the final match at Angelini Bar.

Guests and fellow football fanatics will enjoy the thrill in a Brazilian Tropics-themed venue, and an unforgettable match viewing experience where the crowd roars for victory and the night flows with excitement and exhilaration. Angelini Bar will pump up guests’ adrenaline with its Kick Off, Game Time Glory and Power Up Combo menus as they sip the night away with a selection of Chang Beer, special Free-Flow beverage package and caipirinhas.

Angelini Bar’s special offers include:

  • Chang draught beer at 100++ baht
  • Delicious à la carteitems starting at 240++ baht
  • Late Night Power Up Combo at 500++ baht (a bucket of three beers and any snack item from the Kick-Off menu)
  • Liquid buffet of free-flowing Chang Beer, caipirinhas, sparkling wine, house red and white wine, and soft drinks at 800++ baht during the entire match from kick-off to the final whistle
