“Illustration of the crisis” By Natee Utarit on July 18 – August 31, 2013

Bangkok University Gallery proudly presents the “Illustration of the crisis” exhibition by Natee Utarit is originally Thai artist who is achieved worldwide fame as an international artist. We have been honored to present these private collections in Thailand at first glance, next from the last shows in Switzerland, Singapore, the Philippines and Germany. And all the artworks have been lent by the collections in Europe and Southeast Asia.

 

Natee Utarit conveys his passion of a traditional painting onto the canvases then he questions to any alterations among a crisis by using a symbolic narration through toys and plastic figurines which were surrounded by unidentified imaginary dreamscapes.

Natee Utarit was born in 1970 and graduated Bachelor’s degree from the faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic arts, Silpakorn University. His artworks had been exhibit in both Asia and Europe such as In 2003, Still Pictures, Plum Blossoms Gallery, Singapore. In 2006, The fragment and the sublime, Valentine Willie Fine Art, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2007, The Amusement of Dreams, Hope and Perfection, The Art Center, Center of Academic Resources, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. In 2008, Transparency happiness Soka Art Center, Beijing, China. In 2010, Beacons of Archipelago, Arario Gallery, Cheonan, Korea. In 2011, Future Pass – From Asia to the World Collateral Event of the 54th International Art Exhibition – la Biennale di Venezia, Palazzo Mangilli-Valmarana, Venice, Italy, etc.
