A hotelier with passion for Sales + Marketing and guest satisfaction, Christian is uniquely skilled at bringing new five-star hotels online and steering them to profitability. For the past 7 years, he was heavily involved in the opening of 3 Starwood Hotels and Resorts, most recently, the W Bangkok. Prior to the W, Christian was part of the opening of W Retreat – Koh Samui and the St. Regis Bali Resort, where he helped to garner many prestigious awards. His first assignment in Asia was at The St. Regis Beijing where he brought the sales performance to a height and was leading all negotiations for the 2008 Olympics. Prior to his Asian experiences he held several Sales + Marketing positions in Germany, such as Cluster Director of Sales for 3 Starwood Hotels in Frankfurt.
