Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi Sunday Brunch
We are always looking forward for the weekend. But every time it comes by, it was always too short. If you like to get away from Bangkok but don’t want to waste time travelling on the road, there is a new hotel that is on the outskirt of Bangkok. Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi is more like a resort surrounded by beautiful gardens and 18 holes golf course.
We were there one weekend to experience the resort and the Sparking Sunday Brunch. The resort is low rise buildings that form small courtyards all the rooms get the view of the golf course. You don’t only get the day time view but also the night time, the golf course opens at night.

Our room was the Grande suite garden access. The room is very spacious equipped with all the facilities and amenities you would need for the weekend, there is also an in room espresso machine. This room has a private garden that looks out to the gorgeous lake.
At the time we were there the pool was not crowded which was ideal to get the sun and some exercise. There are bicycles provided to ride along the beautiful path surrounding the resort and golf course. Dining options are: Favola; Tuscan Italian cuisine (see review).
Latitude 13°39′ is a café and a bar. Coffee culture is something that Le Méridien around the world takes very seriously. Our master barista khun Sarawudh Chanchaem made fabulous coffee art. By just pouring the milk in carefully planned motion he was able to make impressive art in the coffee served in seconds. In the evening Latitude 13°39′ turns itself into a bar. The café transform to a bar by clever design of the wooden panels that opens.
Latest Recipe is the signature restaurant of Le Méridien hotels. Almost all Le Méridien will have a Latest Recipe outlet. Some of the mune are share around the world. Since we were here for the weekend, it would be a big mistake if we didn’t experience the Sparking Sunday Brunch.
From the entrance to our table there was an abundance of food to choose from from savory to sweets. As always we started with the seafood section.
Fin de Clair oyster and king crab legs
The Japanese food station was filled with many alluring items.
There were fine quality cold cuts and cheeses, we couldn’t possibly try all.
Many items were cooked when ordered. This is a great way to provide guest with more customized dishes. The chef in charge that day was chef Pattara Sangwan.
He recommended the pan seared sea bass
Serve with truffle mash potatoes
Stewed beef in smoke
Grilled lobster
Grilled lamb racks
To end the savory journey for this meal we had a custom chirashi sushi dish. It was carefully prepared and very well executed.
For the dessert pastry chef Anupong Nualchawee puts it all out with his caramel pear tart which we had to go for seconds.
Another one to try is Le Méridien signature éclair
There were so many other sweets to try.
The teams of chef were very eager to please guest. All are very young and talented. It all show in the food and services.
