Luxury Paresa Resort Appoints New General Manager

Exclusive five-star Phuket hideaway, Paresa, has appointed South African hotelier Dawid Koegelenberg as General Manager.

A graduate of the prestigious Cape Town Hotel Schooland formerly Resort Manager at Six Senses Koh Samui, Dawidbrings over two decades of Michelin-Star restaurant and resort management experience toPhuket’s most sought-after address along “Millionaire’s Mile”above Kamala Bay.

He was a chef and later General Manager of some of London’s best known restaurants, including a five-year stint at Richard Corrigan Restaurants Ltd., the proud owners of Corrigan’s Mayfair restaurants in London’s west end, and Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill, considered the grande dame of the capital’s restaurant scene.

Gaining his qualification at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Dawid is also a wine sommelier, expanding his F&B skills havinglectured at the London Wine Academy.

Dawid relocated to Thailand in 2010 as Resort Manager of the multiaward-winning five-star Sarojin Resort in Khaolak, Phuket, and managed Six Senses Koh Samui the two years before his move to Paresa.

As well as his know-how in wine and fine dining, he introduces a hands-on operational approach, a charismatic personality and the ability to create bespoke moments to the boutique luxury resort.
