Oasis Spa Sukhumvit 31

The Oasis spa is a very successful local spa chain, proven by the many branches in major tourist destination.  There are 2 locations in Bangkok, 3 locations in Phuket, 1 in Pattaya and 3 in Chiang Mai. One of the branches in Chiang Mai is also a resort. Every location is unique with beautiful surrounding and ambiance.

The one in Soi Sukhumvit 31 is no exception, located in a quiet upscale neighborhood.  The Oasis spa Sukhumvit 31 is really like an oasis. Once you enter the premises of the spa, the sense of calmness kicks in. The beautiful garden provides a warm welcome. The reception area is where you will be greeted with a big smile by the hospitable staffs.

I was presented with spa menu and a welcome drink and a towel. The guest host recommended their signature treatment the “King of Oasis Massage”. It started with an herbal hot compress, it was very hot. My skillful therapist khun Malai had me adjust to the heat by using her hands to transfer part of heat, this way guest can get adjusted to the heat. The compress is made from many herbs combined with the heat applied to the tense muscle will help relieve it and opening up the skin to take in the herbs. The compress was applied to the back legs arms and stomach.

The second part of the treatment was the aroma therapy. It’s a combination of oil and Thai massage. The scented hot oil with strong massage through the back and neck was extremely mesmerizing. Sometime it trickles sometimes pain. Khun Malai was very polite; she would ask respectfully if the pressure was too strong. The words she use was “ประทานโทษ”. The massage continued throughout the whole body. It was so good at a point I fell asleep. There was also a face and head massage to end to relaxing treatment.

I felt impressed with the service and welcome. The staffs were very well trained. The Oasis spa a local independent spa chain can compare with 5 star treatments at any 5 star hotels. It’s a hidden getaway in the heart of the city.
