Guests can relish a lavish buffet dinner at Red Oven, with some 70 dishes from 15 countries, including foie gras with gingerbread toast, smoked salmon, turkey with chestnut stuffing and cranberry sauce, prime ribs with truffle gravy, and Peking duck, plus another 30 dessert items. From 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. THB 2,999++ per adult / THB 1,999++ for kids aged between 2 and 12 years.

 

Alternatively more intimate dining is to be enjoyed at Park Society. Here, on the 29th floor and in an alfresco setting, is a sense of being on top of the world with a five-course meal of gourmet delights designed around the festivities. From 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. for THB 5,999++ per person for 5-course dinner (food only) or THB 8,399++ per person with wine pairing (including Champagne).

Christmas Day Brunch at Red Oven offers a culinary feast featuring a wide selection of dishes from around the world – Boston lobster with truffle garlic butter, roasted ham with honey cinnamon gravy, suckling pig, maple log cake and much more. From 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. THB 1,999++ per adult / THB 999++ for kids aged between 2 and 12 years.

Come evening, Christmas Dinner at Red Oven is an opportunity for family and friends to get together and delight in the culinary choices of the restaurant’s 9 live cooking stations, not least its signature Molteni oven. Among the many special offerings are  homemade cured duck ham with fig chutney, sautéed red snapper with grated coconut, and, of course, mincemeat tart. For a big-bang feast to send off the last day of the year, New Year’s Eve Dinner at Red Oven  is highlighted by So Ocean with a superb spread of 15 seafood items, including snow and king crab, lobsters, and scallops. There is also a full choice of western main courses, such Brittany artichoke shrimp and scallops mushroom pie, prawns with chives in butter sauce, and succulent roasts at the carving station. From 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. THB 3,299++ per adult / THB 2,299++ for kids aged 2 and 12 years.

Or, guests may prefer the high style of the 29th floor Park Society where the hotel’s Iron Chef champ, Paul Smart, will be preparing a parade of his personal favourite dishes, paired with some of the wine cellar’s finest, in a 7-course gastronomic treat. From 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. THB 7,499++ per person for 7-course dinner (food only), or THB 9,899++ per person with wine pairing (including Champagne).

After dinner, guests can roll right into the New Year with a countdown party at Park Society Terrace. It’s the top spot to bid farewell to 2012 in a high-octane DJ-fueled send-off and welcome 2012 with a spectacular firework display high above the city skyline. From 7:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. THB 1,600++ per person for Park Society Terrace access, including one drink (Champagne, cocktail, wine, and other beverages).

Promising to be the most glamourous social event of the night is the 13th Destiny Dinner & Dance at Ballroom. Here the scene is set with a glam dinner hall serving a special five-course feast, followed by the opening up of the dance floor with DJ Ballistic and DJ Ben to thump out the sounds well into the wee hours of the morning. Non-dining guests are also welcome to join the party. Dinner from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and the 13th Destiny Party from 11:30 p.m. until late. THB 4,999++ per person for 5-course dinner including white, red, and sparkling wine, or THB 1,000++ for after-dinner party only.

For an exclusive celebration of New Year’s Eve, the three rooftop Hi-So Cabanas are perfect for an intimate countdown party, complete with a private butler for personalized service. For guests without bookings there will be access to the standing bar, albeit limited, from where there’ll be an uninterrupted panoramic view of the City of Angels Fireworks lighting up the city. New Year’s Day at Red Oven is an opportunity for recuperation and enjoying a leisurely brunch with plenty of tempting tastes, not least at the So Organic salad bar with a spread of goodness to start the New Year healthy. Guests can also refuel with a seafood feast and main courses including Barbados stuffed crabs, smoked salmon dill cream pizza and more of whatever the taste buds fancy. From 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. THB 2,399++ per adult / THB 1,399++ for kids aged between 2 and 12 years.

To prepare for the coming working week, New Year’s Day Dinner at Red Oven offers a scrumptious buffet featuring seafood, salad, deli, robata grill, sushi, and main courses such as crab and coriander samosa, pan-seared tuna, scallop and parma ham skewers, plus to-die-for desserts. From 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. THB 2,399++ per adult / THB 1,399++ for kids aged between 2 and 12 years.
