Siam Paragon
Why is it such a phenomenon since the opening day till now? It maybe the 250 brand name shops from all around the world or the diamond trade center or having the biggest aquarium in Asia or being the biggest department store in Bangkok. Maybe it’s just the location.
Since the BTS started about 6 years ago, Siam BTS station was a theater showing the development of Siam Paragon. Passer by knew what it will be and cheered for the construction workers to finish their work. Every day passer by can see the progress from destroying the Siam Intercontinental Hotel until Siam Paragon was open. This is way it has been so expected. Once it opened people rushed in, to see what it’s like.
The approach from the BTS gave Paragon what it is today. If not for the BTS Paragon might be just another mall. Imagine it not any where near the BTS. The exotic car show case when approaching from Chidlom station showed the cleverness in taking the advantage of being by the BTS. The event plaza in front draws crowds of attention when there is an event. This space adds a big part in promoting the mall.
Interiorly, the scale of the space seems bigger, the walk way, and shops are more spacious than other malls. Also the franchised shops and restaurants are decorated differently. They are up graded to a more luxurious level compared to the same franchise elsewhere.

Whether if it will be a World Class Destination or not time will tell. But it sure is a phenomenon. How it will be in the future we’ll just have to see.

อะไรทำให้ศูนย์การค้าแห่งนี้ได้รับความสนใจจากผู้คนมากมายตั้งแต่วันที่เปิดตัวจนถึงวันนี้ อาจจะเป็นเพราะร้านค้าแบรนด์เนมชั้นนำของโลกและของไทยกว่า 250 ร้าน หรือเพราะที่นี่เป็นศูนย์กลางค้าเพชรที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในเอเชีย หรือมีอะควาเรี่ยมที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในเอเชีย หรือศูนย์การค้าที่มีดีพาร์ตเมนต์สโตร์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุด หรืออาจจะเป็นเพียงเพราะสถานที่ตั้งของตัวห้างเองก็เป็นได้
ตั้งแต่ที่มีการสร้างรถไฟฟ้าขึ้นมาประมาณ 6 ปีที่ผ่านมา สถานีรถไฟฟ้าสยามเป็นเสมือนโรงหนังที่ฉายให้เห็นถึงการพัฒนาของห้างสรรพสินค้าแห่งนี้ ผู้คนที่ผ่านไปมาจะเห็นถึงความเป็นไปของที่นี้และคอยเชียร์ให้การก่อสร้างนี้สำเร็จไปด้วยดี ทุก ๆ วันผู้คนที่เดินผ่านไปมาจะพบเห็นการก่อสร้างตั้งแต่เริ่มแรกจนถึงวันเปิดตัวของห้างนี้ ทำให้เมื่อถึงวันเปิดตัวห้าง ผู้คนจึงได้หลั่งไหลเข้าไปเพื่อจะที่เยี่ยมชมสิ่งที่พวกเขารอคอยว่าหน้าตาของมันเป็นอย่างไร
การตกแต่งภายในร้านที่ดูหรูหรากว่า พร้อมทั้งสินค้าที่ทันสมัยตลอดเวลาและขนาดของร้านที่ดูกว้างขวางกว่า ทำให้ร้านแบรนด์เนมของที่นี่หลายร้านนั้นมีความแตกต่างไปจากร้านเดียวกันที่ตั้งอยู่ในห้างสรรพสินค้าแห่งอื่น
จะเป็น World Class Destination หรึเปล่านั้น ต้องให้เวลาตัดสิน แต่ที่แน่ๆได้เป็นปรากฏการณ์แล้ว จะเป็นยังไงในอนาคตคงต้องคอยดู
