:: Bed Supper Club ::

Trendy restaurants in Bangkok usually come and go. There are not too many that can sustain themselves because competition is fierce and out-goers are usually intrigue with new ideas and places, so old places usually lose popularity in a year or two. Bed Supper club is one of trendy restaurant that has not lost its niche and is still a hip destination to visitors of Bangkok and Bangkokian themselves. Dinning in bed is never going to be out-of-date simply because who doesn’t like eating in bed. Eating in the bed is fond by many but mostly it would be breakfast in bed. At Bed Supper club, you don’t get only dinner in bed but you also get a nice entertaining night out. Not too many places served dinner early in the evening then turn its venue into a club later on but Bed has done it perfectly. Every Tuesday night is hip hop night and on Wednesday night is model night, where beautiful and handsome models will sit on the center piece table. Bed offers a three course menu and it changes the menu every month, so its clientele never gets bored.

On the night we visited we shared several dishes on the menu. Although the all the items we are ordered were really delicious, we were in agreement that one stands out on each of the course. For the starter, we liked the Pumpkin and cocoa broth with crispy fried crab filled zucchini flower. The dish was not only prepared beautifully but the taste was also very unique unlike any other pumpkin soup we ever had. The main course we liked was Australian wagyu beef sirloin, porcini cream emulsion, pumpkin puree, thyme crumble with Northern Thai mushroom risotto, roasted shallots, crispy sage, brown butter. The wagyu beef was tender and perfectly cooked and the risotto was delightful. For dessert, we liked Chocolate and chestnut crème, hazelnut and mace crumbs with spiked blueberries. With the combination of Chocolate crème and blueberries nothing can really go wrong. The complexity of scent and flavor of all the dishes indicated that the process of making them was not merely chopping, searing and boiling but involved complicated steps that deserve the notion of fine dinning. The young talented chef Paul Hutt perfectly prepared our food and dinning on the bed made it even more enjoyable.

On the night we visited Bed, a renowned DJ STEPHANE POMPOUGNAC was performing so the room was packed after 10.00 pm., so reservation is always recommended. Great food combines with fun ambience and interesting beat makes Bed a regular dinning/clubbing destination for its Bangkokian clientele and oversea visitors to Bangkok.

Three course menu is 1350 Bht.
